The super stylish M88 in blue is now available. Very similar in spec to rest of the latest generation of 7" tablets but with a striking new look.

1080p HDMI, G Sensor, working market and the Telechips 8902 are all familiar faces at the moment but the way the buttons on the back are hidden but ergonomic is nice ans the little recess for all your ports and connectors is a well thought out nice touch.

The first stable and reliable Android 2.2 Froyo has arrived - The 8" Freescale IMX515

The first stable and reliable Android 2.2 Froyo has arrived - The 8" Freescale IMX515

Finally, we have been waiting for this for so long, we have a stable and reliable Android 2.2 Froyo tablet with an A8 processor. From Haipad the IMX515 freescale 8" tablet is a dream to use, we have been playing Angry Birds all morning in all its glory. Flash 10.1 works straight out of the box and we have tested it thoroughly today. Games and flash video up and running.

Build quality is nice and it has a single dock for both power and data transfer and a single memory card slot. Unfortunately it is missing an HDMI output or a camera but, alas, it seems we can't have verything

Watch out for fake Android 2.2 tablets

I has come to our attention that there are som M701 / G10 / E7002 tablets out in the market that are advertised as shipping with Android 2.2.

I want to make this perfctly clear, there aren't -- these are Android 2.1 tablets that have been hacked to claim it is Android 2.2, it's not even well done. We ordered a sample for the laugh and ran some tests. They have exactly the same build as the original M701 but renamed

There is no way the Telechips 8902 processor is powerful enough to run 2.2. THe Cortex A8 is the minimum power needed to run 2.2 -- Don't buy anything less than that claiming to be running 2.2

X5A now updated and even better

We now have in hand the very latest batch of X5A. these run 2.1 Eclaire and now have a fully functioning 360 Degree G Sensor and a Multi Touch screen.

New OS is slimmed down, lighter, quicker and more responsive.

Very nice.

this is a real landmark for us, the first multi touch Android tablet we have had our hands on. With the Telechips Processor, Proper working 3G, a multi touch screen, 1080p HDMI out and 256mg DDR2 and Android 2.1 this is the a similar spec to the X5A, except with 3G and multi touch. The screen doesnt like a full finger press but with a stylus or nail it is really beautiful to use. So nice I took one home, Check the sensitivity of the G sensor on this youtube vid

Moonse launches upgraded E7001 tablet with 720MHz processor and Android 2.1

Looks like Moonse have released a new version of their ever popular tablet and finally a tablet will be shipping out of China with Android 2. Apparently it will be running a 720mhz ARM11 chipset to replace the ARM9 of the earlier Rockchip model with a DSP co-processor and 3D graphics acceleration with support for 1080p full HD video. Exciting times.

Eken, manafacturer of the popular and cheap m001 - check it here appear to be upping their game a little with the M005
information is a little uncertain at the moment, I have spoken to Eken and they are a little guarded but it looks like it will ship with Android 2.x and have considerably more power. I'm hoping they are going to move over a better processing solution and up the RAM but for now the only firm info we have is from the picture on the left

CISCO announce new Android based tablet

Well it would appear that Cisco have planned to join the Android tablet market with the Cius. Aimed squarely at the business market they have skinned it with their own GUI that we can only assume will be aimed at network professionals (being CISCO and all). So if you are looking for that top end professional tool, rather than a media device this may well be the tool for you

We have spoken to CISCO but it would appear uncertain at present when they will become available but be certain that we will have them for sale here as soon as CISCO release them to market. Until then here's a few images to whet your appetite

Here at http:/www.androidtabletpcs.co.uk We have all heard about the 3G capabilities of the iRobot and similar tablets coming out of China and I don't know about anyone else but we are yet to find one that works smoothly, well we've recently been testing a new model that seems to be running smooth as a babies bottom and stock should be arriving soon

Of course they still have all the ports and connections you would expect from one of these Android tablets with the Rockchip chipset, just check the image on the left, you can connect to so many devices, transfer data with memory cards etc etc etc.

The Rockchip chipset is still in there too so the smooth playback of HD video is as good as ever
